FIRST WIN FOR BÉDARD IN JUNIOR MAX
3 mai 2010

Green flag for the Coupe de Montréal championship. Last Saturday, drivers faced dry and wet conditions and use all their skills during the first round of the Coupe de Montréal.

We must underline the first win of Olivier Bédard’s first win in the Rotax Junior Max class. The battle in this class was rough all day long. After grabbing pole in qualifying, Bedard finished behind Jesse Lazare and Alex Guénette in the pre-final race. In the final race, under the rain conditions, Bédard showed good control, having the fastest lap time during the race and finishing first. Jesse Lazare and Guillaume Archambault joined him on the podium.

In the other junior classes, Gianfranco Mazzaferro won in Micro-Max, Maxime Couturier won in Honda Junior and Zachary Claman DeMelo won in Mini-Max.

In the senior classes, Hugo Ouellette won the Rotax Max final race after starting 6th. Christophe Boisclair and Marc-André Lévesque finished second and third. In Honda, the battle was very close with only 6 tenth of a second between the winner and the third placedriver. Patrick Manny won over Wally Pollo and Vincent Cyr.

In the Masters T.A.G. class, Dany St-Hilaire finished just in front of Patrick Bramhill and Sébastien Lafond. Elvis Martel won the Rotax DD2 class and Luc Sauriol did the same in Rotax DD2 Masters.

The second round of the Coupe de Montréal Championship will take place June 5th, in Mont St-Hilaire.
