The 2018 Coupe de Montréal karting Championship will take off on May 6th. One of the new things for next summer is the return into the championship of the Mont St-Hilaire racetrack on the south shore of Montréal. They will host two of the six rounds on the calendar. “The Coupe de Montréal is back with all the base elements which were very successful in the past. Also, our customers racing at the Coupe de Montréal wanted to be able to compete on their home track. It is with great enthusiasm that we join back the Coupe de Montréal for 2018” said Sacha Gagnon, co-owner of SH Karting.

Patrick Moreau, coordinator of the championship, adds: “we will keep the same formula, i.e. one day events, social activities during the season and some events will be joint events with the APKLQ, including the final event in Mont-Tremblant”. Competitors will also race in St-Roch-de-L’Achigan and Mirabel.

One of the main goal aimed by the organisers for 2018 is to promote the entry of young racers in the Briggs & Stratton Novice class.

Further details about the championship will be published after the holiday season.
